Following is a letter I just e-mailed to Jack. I'll let you know his reply if he says it's ok.
*********
Mr. Jack Ben Ezra,
I am a shareholder of your company. I bought my 100,000 shares because you have produced a great product in PMA and because the principals of the company yourself and Mr. Weinstein have a reputation for integrity and professionalism. I believe that reputation is true because only a person of principle would be willing to risk the future of his company fighting what is an apparently hopeless battle against AOL because you were wronged. I say you put the future of the company at risk because by being non-reporting you have chosen to allow the stock price to drop to the point where it is extremely hard to use it to raise capital. I hope that you realize that by choosing to be non-reporting you are obliging yourself even more to act with integrity for the long term good of the shareholders, since all we have to go on is trust in you.
I would like to say that while you have produced a product that should be very popular myself and many other shareholders (as evidenced by the stock price) have been discouraged at the progress in bringing PMA to the attention of the public. While it is true that even getting the software into retail distribution is quite impressive and of course we do not know all your plans, we feel that a much more intense effort is required than what has been discussed. Its not about paying for advertising. Most advertising has very little impact for the money. Its about getting PMA recognized in a wide spread way for what it is: a unique product for investors to take hold of their own finances. That is a *very* popular topic these days.
The Silicon Investor BNEZ thread is brimming with people with ideas and energy doing their best to find ways to make their company and yours a success. I hope you read them, especially the last few days. My personal favorite is my own idea to see PMA reviewed and/or co-marketed by The Motley Fool. PMA seems like a perfect vehicle for the investment philosophy there. Its a match made in heaven as far as I can see where all sides can win.
Mitchell Vince, who I'm sure you know, has said he is willing to put his professional efforts as a salesman to work for BNEZ with only stock as pay. Use him, or use someone else, but please consider the critical necessity to have someone charged and energized making deals to get the product visible to the average investor. Also, use your shareholders. You have a small army of people who have been willing to get personally involved to promote PMA. Let us know specifically what more we can do to help. Give us names of people to contact and I guarantee we will.
I am going to post this letter to you on the Silicon Investor thread. If (and only if) you give permission I would like to post your reply there as well. It might help to cut down on the number of phone calls and letters I'm sure you get from anxious shareholders and let you focus on business.
