Stitch:

I have read your posts on a number of forums (can't remember all, but the Asia thread is one other) and I like your style.

Now, one of the factors I have decided is important in my investments is Return on Equity....what does a company do with profits they don't pay to me in the form of dividends?....if they don't do better than I would, then I want the dividend!....If you follow this link and change the Industry to "Oil & Gas Drillers & Exploration" and then scroll down to near the bottom of the areas the field "Return on Equity" and put 20 in as the minimum then hit "Search", you'll find GLM listed with about 8 others ....this 39% ROE was one of the things that interested me enough in GLM to tip the balance in favor of becoming a shareholder....

Please keep open the window into your part of Asia via your cogent yet personal posts, it very well be the only Asia I'll ever see.

Here's the link... stockscreener.com

ok, so it's DO GLM and NE, in that order. then maybe BHI. That's the problem - there are just too many to keep track of. Where did you get the 'current cash' number from ??
