People bad mouthing Republicans or Democrates because of the issues. Now the issues were changed. This definitely proved that non of the two parties have a monopoly on the votes, things keep changing just like the Hi Tech Industry. I still
think Bill Gates should register to be a presidential candidate of year 2000. In this new world, we need people with new concept.

Ed,IF MSFT Windows shows up on 90% of the computers, is it a monopoly?
Based upon everything we have been reading, it appears to be true.(maybe someone can confirm the 90% figure)

However on second thought, 90% is not a monopoly since the other 10% (Apple MAC) is always an option to the consumer. It also forces MSFT to keep prices low on Windows. If they don't, the 90% will be reduced. It looks like they can't raise prices significantly.
The problem is basically the PC makers other than Apple. It could be argued that since they don't have a choice of O/S, Windows is a monopoly to them.
The focus should be on the consumers who do have a choice of operating systems. Compaq and others just have a supplier problem.
