Hi Sonny Most often I just ignore the Markman critics but in this case I must stand in his defense. "I think Bill should take at least 4 times more salary, than he is currently taking, because the man delivers ... every time, invariably ... and does not create too often the situations, where his shareholders keep on wondering and hurting." Of course the above statement you make is true - NOW!! But go back to the history of Microsoft, when that company had financial troubles. Microsoft has stayed stable and grown because Bill Gates took his lumps early on and now keeps a significant amount of cash on hand for unexpected happenings. Go back to when Bill Gates was in his basement putting together the PC and everyone said he was crazy. When you are talking about a new technology it is never easily accepted. I'm sure you weren't the first on the block to have a VCR or answering machine and you probably don't even subscribe to Portico. (I'm guessing) These technologies take time to develop and time for Wall Street to buy into them and more so time for the public to accept. I don't believe that Markman acts out of arrogance. As a small shareholder, whenever, I have had a question or concern, I have received an answer from GMGC. I can't say that about many other companies. Send Bill Gates an email see if he will answer you personally. Markman is doing his best, I believe. The trials of Portico is a very strategic and smart move for GMGC. Remember the big failure Microsoft had because of all the promotion it put behind Windows 95 and then when it was launched, the first time, it was a disaster. General Magic is trying to avoid that type of situation. I believe that trials with 11 companies, deals with Qwest, Microsoft and Intiut and now Wireless Knowledge all in ONE year is very aggressive!! In short, all I want to say is give the company a chance to grow and develop into a strong company. I respect your opinions please respect mine. Straight Up
