You smucks should wake up and smell the coffee. 3COM is about to head North. Why ?

1. Hayes recently went bankrupt and won't be dumping modems for much longer.

2. Sales of the Palm Pilot are a cushion from there other business where they have competition.

3. It holds up well when the rest of the tech sector is getting pounded.

4. When it takes out $33 5/8 (probably after the Feb option players get f----d) we should see $40 quickly.

5. Now I get to plug SWW $3.

LAN Enterprise is huge but highly competitive market. It will be an interesting year with Extreme and Foundry both going public soon.
Some ridicule 3COM of blowing the number on the market share of Gig Market. But 3COM is really too honest comparing with Cisco, Cisco has no real Gig products (10/100/Gig Ethernet product) as today, it has super expensive Gig Switch Router Module for Cat 5000/8000 device. Cicso inflates the revenue on these Gig module and takes the number 1 position in Gig revenue. Cisco only has 1 Gig port per module on the GSR, CAT 6000 promises a lot, but Cisco can not manufacture it due to rush it to the market with the immature product.
CPQ won the CRN test award with Extreme gear, HP lost to CPQ with its own ProCurve 8000 and the rumor has HP is to OEM Foundry's gear in the high end. Foundry gear just beats out Extreme on the latest PC Week review
