Bob,

I can't comment about my company, but some of the high end graphics designs coming out this year will be gigantic, multiple chip designs. Hardware geometry engines doing parallel matrix calculations can eat up a huge amount of real estate.

The multiple problems of die size, power consumption, and high speed busses to DRDRAM will make physical design, verification and test a nightmare.
