(NYSE: GYM) announced today that it has acquired Larry Black Sporting Goods, Inc. Based in Enid, Okla., Larry Black is the largest school and team dealer of sports equipment in the Oklahoma/Kansas region, with sales that exceeded $8.5 million in 1998. While the terms of the agreement were not disclosed, the purchase was made primarily in cash.
