I don't doubt that you're correct when you say that DRAM manufacturers are complaining because of a lack of competitive advantage with respect to RDRAM. But if this is true, it shows that the DRAM manufacturers still don't get it -- process engineering is much more important than design engineering in this business. For an excellent overview of this written for the layman in this group, I'd recommend George Gilder's _Microcosm_ and its discussion of Micron (for anyone who hasn't already read it.) My best,
