This is a tech stock that will bounce up and down quite a bit. Long term, this company's stock will go higher. The DSP segment is growing enough that ADI will see significant revenue. Their analog parts are very good revenue contributors as well. The deal with Intel will take some time to develop, but it is, IMHO, a real plus. Here is a recent TI link and snippet:

TI targets its DSPs at color laser printers
By Darrell Dunn
Electronic Buyers' News

DALLAS -- Aiming its digital signal processors (DSPs) at yet another traditional RISC-processor market, Texas Instruments Inc. here has adapted its technology for use in color laser printers.
The company introduced its xStream technology for this segment, the first implementation of which uses a TMS320C82 chip containing two DSP engines and a RISC engine, providing 60-MHz performance. TI plans to have a 200-MHz version ready next year that will be based on its TMS320C6211.

I suspect that down the road, Intel and ADI will be making System-On-a-Chip designs that have a Intel CPU with an adjunct DSP device.

Go Long.
