You have no idea how close to the truth you are. Ever since the reverse split I have carried a copy of my SRMI stock certificate on a chain around my neck to remind me just how bad an investment can get. A few weeks ago, while walking down John Street, just a few blocks from Wall street, in the early evening, a small man with a gun appeared in my path and stuck the gun in my stomach. The little guy demanded all my money, but as I reach for my wallet he saw the SRMI certificate and fell to the ground in hysterical laughter. Between the laughter I head him say "yous fucen idiot, yous bought SRMI stock, hows fucen dumb. HA ha ha ha ha." No kidding, he was rolling on the ground screaming about what an idiot I was. Anyway, when he regained control of himself, he stood up, brushed himself off and handed ME twenty dollars, saying "hears pals yous need this mores then mes" With that he skipped down the street laughing all the way. I filed a police report, but when I got to the SRMI part, the police office fell to the ground in hysterical laughter and told me to get out of town before he busted me for being "such as fucen idiot" True story, I'm not creative enough to make that up!
