>Investment Style Contrarian. Buy what the herd hates, sell short what the herd loves<

How much has that style cost you?

Just curious,

MR. BURKE, NOT TO SHOW DISRESPECT, but your alleged portfolio has minimum or nothing to do with large cap high techs...why do you spend so much time analyzing and picking apart issues that you hold no positions in? why not put your effort in that which rewards you... being a contrarian is acceptable, being contrary not as much..if your position is against dell or other growth stocks...than perhaps we are the true contrarians going against the perceptions of analysts and staying strong with fundamentals...and reaping continuing profits..

must be great to retire at 40, the ink hardly dry on your wharton certificate...we are all not so fortunate so please enlighten us...not with sectors, but with stocks that you feel will withstand the grim future you predict...ALL THE SECTORS THAT YOU LIKE ARE FOR NAUGHT IF TECHNOLOGY REMAINS STATIC...if you've had such success in your strategies than share them with the less fortunate...sharing knowledge and a gift from god is a sign of integrity and concern for your fellow man....lead us out of the darkness...

Wow, that looks like a very defensive portfolio (at least to me). I thought it would be a bit more aggressive. I guess I'm going to be a sheep in the herd because the profits are so big. different strokes for different folks I guess.

my DELL and CSCO up 5%+ in Euroland, my MSFT and LU up 3%+. Overseas up BIG across the board. Looks like the bull might run again today. The MM's are getting scared they are missing the boat (lite volume yesterday). But what the heck do I know, I thought we would be slow on Monday while the street waited for AG to speak. Looks like the herd ran the bull yesterday, maybe today we can get the support of the chickens.

As for DELL, it was the best performing stock of the decade, 55,000%+. It's like a football game, whether a team deserves to win or not is beside the point. I have a feeling this will be just like last year for all of the naysayers. LT was on this thread for most of last year predicting the fall of DELL while the stock went up 250%+. I think this year will be some of the same (at least 100%+). I guess next quarter will tell the story.

Good Luck
