Ken,

You are half right, it would appear that you are advised not to leave the disk in the drive when not in use and move from point A to B (transport). The language referred to does not exclude using the drive while in motion.

>>>transport = move.<<<

Maybe so. However I think transport is closer to meaning shipping or moving over an extended duration or distance - as in don't leave a disk installed when the drive is in your suitcase, or packed in a box and being shipped, or left in your car's glovebox. Perhaps some part takes a set?

How often do you say "Please transport that book out of the way so I can set down this tray?" "Move" works a little better - don't you think?

Ken, only you and RR could get so lathered up over such misbegotten boilerplate.

My read: by transport they mean something more akin to when you have it rolling around in the trunk.

Lordy, you and RR amaze me sometimes. If wishes were tics, you two could send IOM to -1000 in a heartbeat, overpowering the entire world of IOM bulls.

Ken....sorry but you can spin this!! The manual is just being overly conservative!! I have a friend that works in the click reliance testing department...he said you "could drop it out of a ten story building and it would still work"!! Lets face it..a camera is a fairly delicate instrument itself. You would not ride a horse and operate it at the same time!! The click will work just fine in any normal camera application!!
