Lee, I, too, wanted to get AOL & EMC. Was surprised last week when AOL didn't move too much (until FridaY <G>) due to the split.

Now, I'm waiting (again) for it to go down after the split. Hoping that it does what many post-split stocks do and reverses a little.

P&F says no changes yet (I think. We are waiting for Tom to post some #'s).

I just wish GS would say something tomorrow to make this sucker go down, so we wouldn't have to wait any more (sorry, all you longs <G>).

Lee,

Ron Isana of CNBC reported a rumor that the largest hedge fund was caught with S&P puts today and was covering. I tried to look for validation of that rumor and found all the indexes, SPX, OEX, DJI and NASD were all up a little over 2% today.

We have not had these indices moving in sync for quite some time. Do you think it is a coincidence or is the rumor true?

Ramsey

Well Lee, my problem is that no one saw this coming. Except Sew-- he said there would be a rebound. My cycle guy saw it too, but not this magnitude. I think this thread has a bearish bias, which gets in the way. If TA cannot predict, then it is no better than psychoanalysis! That said, if today was Soros covering, then this won't last. AOL-- it'll come down again. EMC too. EMC is a great company and a great stock. Frankly, I don't think waiting is going to save you all that much.

Lee, in my confused and antsy state, I posted to Tom Dorsey of P&F DWA. He rapped my fingers with this post . . .
