Occasionally, my 500 team tracks down a trade for me. There are occasions when an order is sent to an options exchange which is not showing the lowest ask. I'll call and ask why, if the ask shown at Schwab is $XX dollars and my limit price is $XX dollars, my trade didn't execute. The answer has been something like..... "the trade was sent to Philadelphia, and the low ask was in Chicago". (paraphrased)

I just blame that on Pottruck, on management providing insufficient personnel resources such that clients are not getting what they paid for.

And, there are the obvious issues of execution (slow) and status updates (slow for options to a degree of absurdity).

BTW.... what is this silly "Signature Series" stuff? My 500 account has been converted to something called a Platinum Signature Service, and I'm being offered a bunch of stuff that is right out of the 1980s. Clowns.

When the attorneys come poking around here, they should track down the E. Schwab thread. They'll find everything they need.

I have been a relatively happy camper of late, however. You can tell that they've finally started to take web trading seriously, addressing the demanding customer.
