** Time for a reality check? Time to be careful! **

I am a victim myself today of reading the Raging Bull posts and taking most of them at face value.

The RB alias ‘cameeann' signed on today!

However, ‘tonto' here on SI checked with ALFN and the content is suspect:

techstocks.com

Tonto signed onto SI in late 1996 – so I would be a lot more inclined to believe him than a very very recent arrival.

When I check the aliases for many of the Raging Bull posters who have done much of the recent ALFN DD I find that most of them are very recent arrivals to RB.

This worries me as it's so easy to sign up for multiple aliases. The Yahoo site is a disaster because of this problem.

I'm starting from the point of not believing anything ‘factual' that's posted to either RB or Yahoo site by recently arrived aliases.

The best thing that we can do is write down a list of the factual content of these posts and then verify it with either ALFN or The Point Group, Inc directly.

This RB poster ‘smasb4' signed on to RB 3 days ago.

One of his/her earlier RB posts included this:

The Kingfine site referred to in this post is a home to major pumper's and dumper's from Yahoo!

kingfine.com

They set up this site around May of last year. I wouldn't believe anything from anyone who associates themselves with this site. I came across them last year on Yahoo when some of the aliases - 'Stockmeister88' (or very similar) and 'Lion something' there spoke of setting up a Pump & Dump web site and the Kingfine site is the result. Read the Yahoo NWRE, ISCO plus the FINE (I think) threads - that's where the Fine in Kingfine comes from. Yahoo may still have posts from that period available. Despite the professional look and legalese attached to this web site - IMHO - it's all crap and to be avoided.

Here's another recent RB arrival – ‘raybeggs' – signed on to RB 27 January ‘99

We all need to be very vigilant here. ALFN is a very good sucecss story and the stock will do well – however – let us not believe everything that we read. There may well be a lot of dubious pumping going on of ALFN – it happens with all the pennies around the time of substantive and material events.

The best that we can do is verify the factual content of what is reported in these RB ‘DD' posts. Now that ALFN has a professional PR firm to represent them I suggest that we verify the ‘factual' information with them tomorrow – or with ALFN directly.

ALFN will do Ok - but we can't afford to let our guard down.

I'll be in a meeting tomorrow morning, so can someone else double check the content of the RB ‘DD' posts tomorrow morning.

If so – much thanks in advance.

David.
