Greg,

amateur Intel bears

I like that. Can I take the liberty of including myself in the Alpha Iota Beta fraternity?

Greg - Re: " The title itself "Intel Faces Serious Threats" is sensationalist. "

INTEL HAS ARRIVED !

With every little pip-squeak journalist writing articles about the inevitable collapse of Intel, it is clear that INTEL IS ONE HUGE IMPORTANT CORPORATION !

It is capturing the minds - if not the hearts - of a large chunk of the American population.

These journalists don't waste type-writer time on inconsequential entities (substitute AMD here).

Intel IS BIG GUN STUFF.

Intel is the IBM of the 1990s and 2000.

Make no mistake, all this "negativity" only emphasizes Intel's immense and EXPANDING and OVERRIDING importance in technology, commerce and American & Global life.

Paul

Greg, re FTC's problems with Intel's predatory, vicious attempts to remain a solidly profitable company, a sort of parallel happening today. Mary Meeker - Managing Director, Morgan Stanley, Dean Witter, Discover & Co. came out this a.m. (CNBC report) saying Microsoft would get nothing stronger than a mild admonishing, in her opinion. Check MSFT price right now. All those expensive lawyers the gummint hired and Mary says all that comes of it is a slap on the wrist. Would Intel do any worse?

What a joke.
