I think Compaq has shot itself in the foot...Yeah it's buried my stocks, after all, my entire life savings was put into COOL stock at $41 a share, and now this news will probably wipe me out for good....but that's not the concern of any of you people....You should be asking yourself why Compaq would make such a move considering all the e-tailers that sold their products...Now ask yourself, when looking for computer related product on the web, how often will you go directly to the CPQ website, and how often will you do a price comparison for the products, through companies like www.pricewatch.com for example...All I know is, I have bought 3 computers over the web, all Compaqs, and all from and e-commerce company...heck I've never even gone to the compaq site, because when I buy, I like to browse everyone's products, not just Compaq....I personally feel this is a bad decision on their part, and they will soon reverse their decision...at least I would hope so...Peace to all the CPQ longs...
