I too believe cable is the way to go. I bought it at 68. A little late but not too late. But there are substantial risks involved in this stock.
The competitors are not at sleep. They are taking every opportunities to cut short ATHM's path. If ATHM doesn't act fast enough in rolling out the service. ADSL may take the opportunity to surpass Cable modem. People don't really care which technology to use, as long as it allows them to surf the web with 50 times faster bandwidth. ADSL has the capability to do so too.

So, ATHM is likely a winner, but it's too early to say it's a sure bet.

John, I agree Broadband is where it's at

Along with BRCM/ATHM/CMGI/CSCO

I'd add :
Broadcast.com BCST (broadcasting over these bigger pipes)
Inktomi INKT (cacheing content closer to the user for even better speed)
Exodus EXDS (storing all this content)
Verisign VRSN (securing all this content)
RealNetworks RNWK (software for beaming the video/audio)

Good luck on your picks.. no matter what happens in the short term... 2-3 months, people with vision will ignore the short term and focus on where we will be in 2-3 years.
