Tom,

I take exception to you assumption that Mr.BuyandHold would be long gone in VTSS. I don't own it but I do have other stocks which I have owned for a long time.

CCI - March 1990 + June 1990 + Nov 1990
MO - Sept 1990 + May 1996 + August 1996
MCD - July 1990 + Jan 1991
BMY - Jan 1994
MRK - Jan 1994 + August 1994

I've owned ASND and PMCS since September of 1997 and expected to hold them "forever" also. ASND being bought by LU has thrown a bit of a wrinkle into that mix. JBL may be another "forever" stock. There are very few technology stocks you can hold forever, but when you get one, you don't let go easily.

----
Dave

The trust had a $65,000/year pay-out that was manditory. I set up the investments to earn the required $65,000 per year by owning 80% high yielding bonds.

Could you give us more thoughts on purchasing bonds when you have a moment? You really tweaked my interest on living off the interest. My time frame is just around the corner and I won't trust my instincts on buying and selling stocks. TIA
