HG -- What is a girl to do in order to remain happy > Fed up with non-committal men? -g- I have been pounding the table for six weeks that we are in a downtrend. The move down is now giving way to a bounce of unknown duration -- which I would sell if I was trying to trade stocks more slowly -- in other words not day trading. I either buy and hold or speculate. I don't day trade stocks, only options. For example, I am buying some metal stocks to hold and LSI as well but I want to own them -- and own some others. At the same time I will trade options with a really short time horizon. If you are actively playing the market, the market will make some kind of move up in the short term and then, I think, get back to the business of falling on its face. Might take a couple of weeks to peak -- but if it moves fast I will go short sooner. I like to follow belleweather stocks to get a sense of the range rather than the averages -- IBM, MSFT, DELL, GE etc.

hey, if I knew where AMZN was going, do you really think I would tell everyone? =P

I'm long AMZN Mar 140's now and I have a decent trading record if that makes you feel better.

James.
