Frank,

Getting to the analysis of a sector, industry, or market by extrapolating from the discussion of the players involved seems to preclude the possibility of getting into the game early, say, before or at the beginning of a tornado. The idea is not simply to get into a Microsoft, an Oracle, or a Cisco, but to identify that puppy while he is still a yearling. For instance, batting around ideas about whether E*trade or Ameritrade is the a king or gorilla in the online investing category would be premature if it were not yet established whether online investing as a sector/industry is even a suitable habitat for such a creature.

Regarding Maui. An absolutely gorgeous day in Napili. (2 minutes south of Kapalua, 10 min north of Kaanapali) It's midday here now and getting close to nap time..... whew..... this gettin' up at 4:30 (and later this year 3:30) can sometimes be a killer. Gotta get to bed early. Great place to take a nap though.
