Michael..On the positive side the last quarter point tick to 40 1/4 put us over the 50 DMA. In fact level II shows that last 21400 share trade coming through at 44 on the NYSE. As usual they save an out of sequence trade from the NYSE for the close but for some reason the price it traded at didn't change. Oh well, 50 is on the near horizon then into uncharted waters. Steve

Michael, I agree with what you say and would actually not be surprised if we close Friday close to, if not at, 50. Given that TA is not my strength, it appears to me that 50 is equivalent to the invisible shield from the old Colgate commercials. Maybe people will start to call Compaq "CPlatinumQ" by this time next week :o) Lynn
