Mike,

Regardless of what Frank does, I would sure like to have a look at your list.

My apologies to Frank. :)

Asymetrical Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) technology
Client-Server technologies
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
Front Office software
Front Office software - Mid-tier market (proposed by Geoffrey Moore)
Interactive Web/TV technologies
Internet-related technology
Middleware
Natural Interface
Next Generation Memory
Pest-resistant Seeds
Speech Recognition software
Storage Technology
Telecommunications (in general)
Transactional technology enabling e-commerce
Wearable Computing
Video Conferencing
Wireless Communications

My personal opinion is that pest-resistant seeds by definition are not the domain of gorillas, but you might disagree. I do think all the other categories have the potential of producing a gorilla and I'm especially partial in the near term to ADSL, client-server technologies, front office software, middleware, storage technologies, and wireless technologies.

Aloha, Mike.
RMBS is almost certainly an emerging Gorilla. Within the next 18 months, their proprietary RAM interface will dominate all unit-processor PC box maker designs. They are an intellectual property company, not a manufacturer. They are licensing the manufacture of their design to memory and box manufacturers. INTC supports the RMBS design.
