Anybody have any thoughts on VOCLF?? They have been teaming up with players like CSCO and LU, if my mind serves me correct!

A very useful list Mike. You continue to provide outstanding guidance to the thread. Thanks for the effort.

I linked to your post on my profile. Now visitors can get the Index, LindyBill's definitions, and your list of markets from one spot.

Mike, no posts from you since Tuesday night. We all miss you. If we offended in some manner, please forgive and forget. I think you are the only one on this thread who fully understands the topic (and that includes me), and I miss your gentle nudges towards proper thinking.

Frank

Hello Mike,

A couple of weeks ago I had brought to this thread's attention the name of WINd River Systems, the leader in RTOS (real time operating system) for the burgeoning field of embedded systems.

With the markets exploding in the areas of Internet appliances, set-top boxes, cable modems, digital cameras,desk-top printers, scanners etc. in the consumer area, and switches and routers for the development of the Internet infrastructure, the need for an operating system to run these myriad devices is going to grow exponentially and WRS with it's VxWorks OS is far and away the dominant company in this field.

Since my first post on this thread on October 17th., it's stock (WINd) ran up around 32% before pulling back in the last couple of days. I expect it to double in the next three months.

I believe that the potential of this company turning into a gorilla should not be ignored by this thread and humbly suggest that it be put on the gorilla watch list.

I will be happy to try and answer any question(s) that you or anyone else may have on this thread regarding WINd River Systems. There are quite a few WINd watchers on this thread who too may help acquaint anyone interested in learning more about this fascinating company.

Regards,
Karim

P.S., I believe that the embedded systems market should be added to your list of potential breeding grounds. What do you think?

I'm new to all of this new stuff about gorilla and the rest. How often is a new company added to the list? What are the gorillas which are still babies now? Ya know which companies are you watching for the future?
