Fantastic.

You know, I had a tradition of going to a movie every Christmas Eve (long story on why) and in 1984 I chose to go see DUNE. The theatre was virtually full, but by the halfway point there were only about a dozen of us left. At the end of the flick we congregated together and realized that we'd all read the books. Our concensus was that the movie was an EXCELLENT adaptation of your father's book.

DUNE is such a intricate novel that it had to take someone with a larger view of the world to try to put it on screen. This was very admirably done. I think the media lost this point and critized the movie in error.

JMHO, but I know it's widely shared.

Cheers, Rory
