>>>A question -- does CheckFree provide the e-bill service for MCI for the people choosing the direct debit and credit card billing options or is this provided internally or through another e-bill provider?

If you question is "Does CheckFree play a role in payments that are automatically charged to your Credit/Debit Card?"

The answer: Most likely not. The good news, is that billers are not that happy with the Credit/Debit card autopay due to the Visa/MC commission, and the fact that the bill is still being sent via Paper.
The Question for which I don't have the answer:

If you are currently paying your bill via auto credit/debit card, and you start to receive you bill electronically...Will CheckFree get paid for presenting the bill even though they are not handling the payment?

I don't have recent statistics, but I believe over 90% of monthly bills are still paid with paper Checks. If anyone has an updated number feel free to post.
