This rocket is taking off today. High volume means increasing stock price. Pete must have done a good job at the conference this week.

If you question is "Does CheckFree play a role in payments that are automatically charged to your Credit/Debit Card?"

The answer: Most likely not. The good news, is that billers are not that happy with the Credit/Debit card autopay due to the Visa/MC commission, and the fact that the bill is still being sent via Paper.

That isn't my question and I agree with you. CheckFree probably doesn't make a thing on bills sent electronically and automatically charged to a credit card or directly debited from a checking account.

The Question for which I don't have the answer:

If you are currently paying your bill via auto credit/debit card, and you start to receive you bill electronically...Will CheckFree get paid for presenting the bill even though they are not handling the payment?

I don't have recent statistics, but I believe over 90% of monthly bills are still paid with paper Checks. If anyone has an updated number feel free to post.

Your question is a good question that I can't answer but my question was even simpler then that:

Is CheckFree providing e-bill functionality to MCI for bills presented through MCI's web site as opposed to through Quicken, mybills, etc.?

Benny,

I don't know how many billers Checkfree is sending payments to electronically, because my credit union uses Moneyline Express.

I can tell you that in the last six months the payments going to my billers electronically has increased from around 10% to about 40%.

I'm not sure that the bills I pay are typical, but I do know that all the banks and credit card companies to whom I make payments have been gearing up to receive electronic payments. I like it because it reduces the time I have to prepay my bills from 10 days to 4 days.
