Kudos to CNBC.

However, the reporter's claim that people could trade via phone was totally false. Schwab's phone rep told me that their system was totally down and could not even tell me the status of my open market order...said they were expected to be up in about 20 minutes, which actually turned into about an hour.

Again, one of the biggest keys to daytrading is to have more than one account. Of course, Rep. Klink (any relation to the Colonel?) is not interested in this, rather, the scent of money has attracted his attention. I would bet dollars to donuts that the major wirehouses are big contributors to his campaign funds and/or PACs that he is involved with. That is something you can bet on.
