Dan,

I'm no expert, but I think you need to sell your shares. I actually claimed bre-x as worthless when in reality they are not, even to this date. I deal with fidelity and they state that they would never charge you more in commission than the proceeds of the sale... so my guess is that if you have given up on syquest, that you sell them for whatever you can get. just MHO.

Please let me know if you find the answer. I have the same problem. I want to declare it worthless for 1998 too. How can I sell my shares that I have with Datek?
