Stochastics often top out before price so its a definite warning signal. Tell me what %K and %D you are looking at and whether you are looking at a daily price/volume chart or weekly price/volume chart. Tell me what you're investing time horizon is. 3 days or 6 months or somewhere in between--that will tell me how much volatility you can stomach.

I started this thread about a year ago. Has anyone out there been making a profit using stochastics as an investment strategy?

Declining Stochastics coupled with a Rising Closing Price indicates that the market or stock in question is closing lower in its average price range. If the market is strong, it will tend to close near the high.
