BGR, For India,I am not sure which city you are talking about, but I shall assume it is a moderately large city e.g Ahmedabad, which has about 5 million people. A 4 bedroom condo would cost about Rs 1.5 million ( Rs 44 = $1), and two decently loaded cars would cost about 0.8 Million. Total= Rs 2.3 million. Round it off to Rs 2.4 million. Do you mean to tell me that the average middle class family in India is earning Rs 0.6 million ( 6 lakhs) ??? I am not even talking about taxes here, but Rs 50,000 a month is an income level that is not middle class Middle Class is more like at the Rs 15-20,000/ month range, IMO Monish
