Well, it looks like the Burrel Boom area where Lagoon Ridge Estates is located is being passed by as the site of the first satellite town in the Belizean government's construction plans. La Democracia will be first satellite town During this week's Cabinet meeting, it was decided that the first satellite town will be located near La Democracia at mile 31 on the Western Highway. . . . channel5belize.com But, there may still be development there near Burrel Boom as it was on the list of sites being considered and they evidently will be committing to other satellite projects.
