Postal Service selects TAVA Y2K help

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (CBS.MW) -- TAVA Technologies shares jumped 24 percent Tuesday
after the U.S. Postal Service selected the company to support its year 2000 compliance plan.

TAVA technologies (TAVA) will provide the U.S. Postal Service with its PlantY2kOne product
to help address the embedded system readiness at postal facilities.

The news has pulled the volume of trading to 1.23 million compared to a 3-month average daily
volume of 370,000. TAVA shares closed up 1 3/8 to 7.

In a press release, John Jenkins, TAVA's chief executive officer, said the service award "speaks
of the power of the TAVA year 2000 product in application across a large, multi-site
organization."

"The engagement includes use of TAVA's tools in approximately 200 major sites across the 11
U.S. Postal Service areas," said Jenkins.

TAVA provides applications and software for control system integration, factory automation and
other information technology solutions for the manufacturing and processing industries. <Picture>
