Mohan:

To take advantage of the DELL 2 for 1 .. you must own the stock on record dated tomorrow .. think they were driving the price down to only pick it up cheap & get an even better split outta DELL ..

Well it's a thought anyway .. sorry if it was already posted.

Mike

Please forward this news item to all the major outlets

From the wire (modem)10:40 am

With calls for the demise of the PC industry, Dell in
particular, being announced today, Zeeko and his dog
Zeek Inc, have just reiterated a “strong buy any time
the big boy open there mouths” on Dell. “Zeeko was
quoted as saying, “weal….if the sky's falling, then
I'd say it's a good time to go have lunch with my six
year old. I've got my dog, my gun and my Dell shares.
I spect they won't git me”. He went on to state “weal….
what's changed?…. the conomy looks pretty good,…..
everybody wants one of them puters, and my
understanding is that Compaq and Gateway aren't growing
all that fast.” In closing he stated, “I've told my young'n
and now I'm telling you, …..
never trust no boys named Merrill or Morgan for Gods sake”

See ya

IMO why ANALysts like to diss a good company and watch it fall...

As many have said, #1 is MONEY. So they can pick up DELL at 80 and maybe lower.

But a close second is EGO. I bet they get a kick out of knowing that their measily report with absolutely no new info can drop a huge stock like DELL, INTC, CSCO, MSFT. "Hey, I am some so-called 'expert' making 200K, maybe even 300-400K, and my opinion just caused one of the strongest (if not THE strongest) companies in the world to drop by 10 Million." Or, "I just made Bill Gates 50 Million dollars poorer. What a rush!"

Can somebody say "weak"?

Merrill put a "hold" on Dell when it was in the $30s, then started it again as a "buy" in the $60s. Whatever system of analysis they're using now, it was flawed the first time. They said the same thing in the $30s - but not trying to discredit them now - just history.
