Neo,

You must admit though, that P.J.'s complaints
about old George Bush were well founded. The
guy tried to get re-elected by throwing money
at every special interest group in America.
He lost my vote because of that. Bush really
was a Liberal president, except for his hard
line in the Gulf War (which saved the planet
from major long term problems).

I have been reading JFK's pulitzer prize winning
book "Profiles in Courage" lately, and I have
been rather intrigued by the story of the first
President and Son President, John Adams and
John Quincy Adams. It appears that JFK felt
they were both "courageous" people because they
stuck to their principals even though it cost
them elections. Both of the Adamses were turned
out after one four year term. I wonder if we
will see a repeat of that with George Bush, and
George W. Bush (the current favorite for President
in 2000).
