I am really beginning to wonder if George jr. Bush will run for president after this. He has a terrible reputation, all kinds of accusations from when he was in his 20s. That stuff is all going to come out now. Has he declared his candidacy?

Although Bush did things that I felt he should not as president, while dealing with a Democratic Congress and trying to shield himself from charges of being indifferent to "Good Things", like the environment, I felt he got a bum rap as a liberal, and, in any case, I was so pleased with his support of Clarence Thomas and his prosecution of the Gulf War that I felt a certain loyalty. Besides, I wish to God he were president instead of Bubba. I just felt that the no- holds barred lambasting of Bush that P.J. engaged in was unfair and counterproductive. More nuanced criticism was certainly fair.
