I said that if they deliberately hid their platform, they were wrong, but I couldn't tell from what you had said if that were so. I will take your word that they did not mention in at least general terms their intentions in the newspaper. Therefore, they were wrong, although I cannot say if they were vile and malicious. You also have a point about assumptions being made about the centrism of the candidates, and that some signal should be given that there is something unusual afoot, although I am not sure what would constitute an adequate "heads up", under the circumstances.
