DynamicWeb Achieves Internet-to-EDI Transaction Volume Milestone

Results Indicate Complementary Roles for Internet and EDI in Converged E-commerce Model

FAIRFIELD, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 2, 1999-- DynamicWeb(tm) Enterprises Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board:DWEB - news), a developer of Internet electronic commerce and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) business solutions, today announced that the Company processed over 25,000 transactions through its EDIxchangeBuy service in the month of February 1999. Also of significance is that the monthly volume is growing at a double digit rate.

''Although many so-called experts have declared EDI a dying technology, we have continuously maintained a position that EDI is the backbone of business-to-business e-commerce and that in the b-to-b space the most effective application for the Internet is as an easy-to-use, functionally robust complement to existing EDI programs. These results vindicate our position,'' said Steve Vanechanos, Jr., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

''The results also demonstrate that our strategy of using the Internet as a value-added layer on top of EDI, creates many winners and supporters of the strategy, beyond DynamicWeb. Our sponsoring hubs like Rite Aid (NYSE:RAD - news) save considerably as paper is converted to electronic; our ISP partner, Rocky Mountain Internet (NASDAQ:RMII - news) acquires new business customers; and the EDI VANs, like Harbinger (NASDAQ:HRBC - news) and Sterling Commerce (NYSE:SE - news), realize new transaction volume,'' Mr. Vanechanos added.

Located in Fairfield, NJ, DynamicWeb Enterprises, Inc. is a leading provider of Internet services and software for enabling business-to-business electronic commerce. DynamicWeb's EDIxchangeBuy provides an Internet-based electronic commerce solution for Fortune 1000 companies that expands EDI participation and compliance with their suppliers.
