stockman In light of the government intentions ...

I just posted this on the INTC Strategy thread.

Although Pitofsky mentioned Intel and Microsoft Corp. only in passing, his remarks could signal that the FTC isn't likely to seek major changes to Intel's business practices in its antitrust suit set to go to trial March 9. And they came as the U.S. Justice Department considers a range of remedies, including a possible breakup, in its antitrust case against Microsoft. ''It's a way of signaling to the business community that we are aware that these are extremely serious measures and would have to be undertaken very carefully,'' said Bill Kovacic, an antitrust professor at George Washington University. (emphasis mine)

>>I would lighten up on INTC and MSFT. In exchange buy more DELL

lol. Scott, you're more than a little biased when it comes to dell; you are one of the biggest dellheads I know <g>.

Please read my earlier post, linking to the Bloomberg article about the Chairman of the FTC and his comments on msft and intc (and csco by implication, since all three are Gorillas -which means MONOPOLIES in Gorilla Game terms). Your timing in urging caution is 180 degrees out of phase with the direction we should take.

And, btw, Dell is in no way, shape or form a Gorilla in the context of this thread. They are a Prince attempting to ascend to the Throne, but can never be a Gorilla (see the definitions linked to my profile).

Thanks for stopping by, Scott. I'll look forward to seeing you tomorrow night.
