What do you think about this from the yahoo board? Jam, you won't have to wait long... by: sbonz69 5612 of 5626 According to my sources and the research I have done, there could be news coming tomorrow or early next week. One of the reasons for the 3 week delay for the news is that I understand that Robinson Humphrey has had the company tied up in merger discussions for the last two weeks. This has delayed the formal announcements of Pilot Program National roll-outs by some major Fortune 500 companies. I suspect this is the first news that will come. I do not know the company or companies that will be announced in the next few days but the numbers announced with these companies should really start to substantiate the commercial potential for BeThere. ..or, the news could be that they have signed a license agreement for the Lamprey Modem. ..or, it may just be that someone is ready to buy this company to grab this technology before a competitor gets it. I doubt that this will be first, the price of poker goes up for these potential buyers as the sales to big name companies continues to hit the tape. I understand that the original 10 or 11 original merger candidates have been narrowed down to the final four or so. I don't know who they are and when this will happen, if at all, but I think there is a good chance that this company will end up being a division of a large technology company that has the distribution to take advantage of the billions of dollars of future revenue that the, soon to be three, breakthrough technologies of this company can acheive. My group is now up over 70,000 shares and are betting heavily on the success of these technologies being worth 2 or three time what we now have invested. One last point about the shorts. This large short position is very bullish for this stock 1.) If it is really a hedge to cover a convertible--the selling is already over. ie. they convert and deliver to cover their short and nothing hits the market, 2.) Any news, such as I described above, and watch the real short sellers who are betting on the hype/scam conspiracy theory as the reason Data Race has gone up on huge volume over the last several months scramble to cover their shorts. Technically, the real resistence is at $9.00 and a short squeeze is what could blast the stock through that level. In the meantime, 5 to 7 trading range. It acted well today considering that 2/3 of all stocks in America were down today. Good luck, can't wait until tomorrow! Posted: Feb 25 1999 10:54PM EST as a reply to: Msg 5610 by jamjaw98
