Don: You've picked up a lot of information in a short time.-like most we own a few shares with our fingers crossed.!!! Canadian Internet companies lag well behind the USA. Bid.Com has big plans and 5 years experience and, hopefully, will do well when they go on the Nasdaq. Yesterday there was a report in one of Canada's National newspapers, the "Globe and Mail", comparing the Internet business in both Canada and the USA. Canada has a long way to go! If interested, see post #10519 on SI -on the- "BII"- tread.

Onsale Sells Intel's New Pentium III-Based PCs At Wholesale Prices
Onsale is One of First Retailers to Offer Powerful, New Processor Over the Web
MENLO PARK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 26, 1999--Onsale®, Inc. (Nasdaq:ONSL - news), a leading Internet real-time retailer, today announced that it is one of the first retailers to offer computers with Intel's new Pentium® III processor.

Onsale is the only Internet-based retailer featured on Intel's site promoting the launch of the Pentium III processor (www.intel.com/home/PentiumIII/index.htm).

Onsale is offering the PCs at wholesale prices at www.onsale.com. Onsale recently expanded its services to offer a broad range of new computer products with Onsale atCost(TM), complementing its original offering of excess goods with Onsale atAuction(TM).

Onsale atCost lets customers purchase new computer products at today's wholesale prices plus a ''transaction fee,'' rather than the common retail markup. Onsale atAuction gives customers the opportunity to bid at auction on a range of excess and closeout computer products, consumer electronics, sporting goods and vacation packages.

''We are excited to be one of the first retailers to offer our customers PCs based on Intel's Pentium III processor,'' said Jerry Kaplan, Onsale's president and CEO. ''The fact that we are the only Internet-based retailer featured on Intel's Pentium III site is a real tribute to the emergence of the Web as a major distribution channel, and our leadership position in the marketplace.''

According to Computer Retail Week's annual survey of U.S. Computer Retail Sales Estimates, Onsale was the number one ranking Internet-based retailer and the 28th largest retailer in the country. Onsale currently has more than one million people registered to bid or buy on its Web site and reported 1998 revenues of $207.8 million.

I FINALLY got a response from OnSale today! They tell me they are arranging a Return Merchadise Authorization and they will send me the number "soon". It has taken them over a week to respond, but they finally did!
