Tom,

Yes there would be more shares issued by LSI if something comes up. But would it actually be dilutive to earnings is the key point. Off hand, given last quarters results, future prospects, a few saving here and there, I would think it would not be dilutive.

And such a purchase would move LSI firmly into that critical mass area of well over 2 Billion in Sales.

If my guess is right, those not numerically challenged please comment, it won't dilute it much. LSI is now almost 2x sales price vs sales. Just add more shares but still buy the same sales is neutral - those extra 38.46M shares will more than carry its own weight in terms of generating margins etc.

And if you put in the cash VLSI has, we'll come out ahead. Can use that to pay off Symbios. Better yet, put that into starting the next sub-0.12um Gresham. Instead of VLSI putting money into upgrading San Jose from 6" to 8", just start working on the next big fab. As I said , the synergy between LSI and VLSI is incredible.

And I have to harp on Seeq one last time - the price is insane, the whole purchase is insane. That's an IDT kind of deal. I was expecting more than that from Corrigan. And I hope if anybody who has concrete information that will contradict me here will post.
