Well, last year BRK was valued at 68k or so by Motley Fool, Did you see that? Now, PW analyst puts and intrinsic value at 90k+ when done conservatively.

WEB has been MOST excited about insurance business which has quadrupled with the GRN deal. This is a big cash cow. The two business in the airplane industry have GREAT earnings (both purchased in 1998, as I recall).

Two biggest holdings KO and G are down in price due to international pressures. G spokesman says they should return to 15-20% growth in the second half of 1999. I'd expect similar things from KO given the international pressures are similar.

Finally, I think WEB will be making a KILLING with his silver investment. I am SURE he didn't jump heavily into that one for a small near-term profit. He's looking BIG further down the road.

JMHO on all.

Also, I am not a "chartist" but if you look at a 200-day average of BRK, it has almost ALWAYS trended upwards. Look at the following Yahoo chart (5 year with moving average). Reduce to 2 years for a better look.

BRK has flatten out after making its BIGGEST deal EVER in an industry that WEB expects to be #1 (easily) in a few years due to the synergies of BRK and GRN. WEB loves the float from insurance companies!

Many GRN shareholders were institutions (from what I've been informed on this thread) that are NOT allowed to own stocks that are NOT in the S&P 500. I would imagine there may be others who must own stocks that have dividends. BRK is not in the S&P 500 or has dividends.

Volume has dropped back to a more normal volume recently after most of Dec. and Jan. doubled or tripled average volume on B shares. I expect a constant uptrend but these things also come in LARGE doses.

Given the LOW VOLATILITY of the price these days and the ACCUMULATE recommendation by PW, looks to me like someone likes the price and will ACCUMULATE as many shares as they can get at these prices.

All is JMHO but BRK is my LARGEST holding, by far!

best to all BRK investors, leroyt
