Not to be too gloomy, since this is a good development, but the disappointing things are the action appears to be

- against Ledford only

- civil, not criminal

meaning at most Ledford will have to pay fines (and no doubt he has money well hidden), and he will be permanently forbidden to make statements for a public company again.

But there won't be any undoing of the deals Ledford did, or a return of assets to ECO2, or an investigation of how the company was run when he bailed out.

Still, it is an encouraging development.
