Wallstarb is the whorest of market whores IMO. He did the same sort of sh*t with IMON. This guy fabricates things about MMs, short squeezes, etc. etc. and tries his darndest to manipulate the stock price in his favour. His tactic is look for a piece of garbage that pops a bit, look for evidence of shorting activity, and try to arrange a squeeze when the thing tanks a bit.

Howard, man, with only 2 months of stock trading experience, you sounds almost like a pro.

I have a gut feeling that you'll make more money on wall street than in the hospital. (But you SHOULD get your license just in case<g>)
I flunked out from my first year of med school. I am glad I didn't become a doctor, I probably would have killed a few people. <big G>

I opened one more account with AB Watley. Not set up yet, but I hope to see some Level II actions next week.

Cheers,

jon

Ok...here's a laugh...

My broker comes over for lunch...and I show him "command central" and use the excuse to check the thread and respond on the web site...

I see a pick...and I hop over to one of my other computers...to whip it into clearstation....puzzling my broker...who wonders why I do not minimize...on the same sytem...to draw up clearstation

I did not have the heart to tell him...my plans to get even "more" systems...Level 12...at least!!(laugh)...so I will be surrounded by all these computers....AND NOW you tell me..you are watching Level 2 screens, the SI thread(s), & Yahoo ..no doubt researching....AND monitoring #daytraders...on mIRC???....hahaha......

my kinda guy!!!!

are we all manic, Type AAA, or A.D.D.?

smile....mary

PS I'm with Jimmy on the Web site design...make it simple, quick loading..and don't worry too much about the "splash page"..put the time in the systems to communicate quickly...chat or whatever.
And members will need a way...to bypass having to load in that front page...and just straight to the action pages!

PS II: got my email....planning to attend...

thx...Mary

The event time line supports your conclusion that the Yahoo "IBM buyout" post did not trigger today's short squeeze in OMGA. However, the act of re-posting the Yahoo message here (and the ensuing over-reaction) probably helped fuel the already developing squeeze by scaring a number of short sellers into covering.

As anyone who has visited Yahoo knows, posts like that are the rule rather than the exception. The Yahoo boards prove that anonymity and human nature do not mix. Yahoo, by allowing multiple aliases, has inadvertently created one of the Web's biggest slums. If we're lucky maybe Y2K will blow their stock chat servers to smithereens and leave the rest of the site intact.
