Stephen,Aus & Thread:

I have been trying to gather information with regard to write/rewrite times (speed) and finding it difficult. I did find this statement in the OEM page of SNDK website.
sandisk.com

"Speed/Performance"
"Without the FFS software getting in the way, speeds of 250KBytes/second write speed can be achieved. With a special preErase command, this speed can be doubled."

This statement is as of 1996, so the speeds could have increased by this time, but powers that be at SNDK apparently would prefer to keep any upgrades obscure from the public. It really isn't a very informative site. Runs you around "Queries",etc.

It's rather like their marketing "Strategy", of which I'm sure they have one, positioning etc. If you look in the Office Depot Catalogue, there is no reference to SNDK, yet walk into their store and they have only a 20MB and 40MB selection. Why is that? Anyone have a clue?

Love this product/stock
Ron C.

Thread,

The information on the Palm IIIx, Palm V and Palm VII I have located makes no reference to CF slots.

Guess I won't be buying one.
