shortfalls may have been more of an industry issue than we previously believed.''

Probably was an industry issue. They all did the same thing in Dec. <g>

Instead of the Dell, Intc & Cpq threads getting upset with MB and others posting negative comments on their threads, they need to be upset with the management of these companies. Since most people know they have a habit of doing this type thing I am really surprised(surprised is really a poor choice of words...)the auditors of these fine companies financials do not test the sales invoices and catch this activity. If I were the auditors I would be concerned about the possible lawsuits against me for due diligence by shareholders.

In the FWIW category

AR, Odd. Few believed those of us, and Earlie and Fred Hickey and myself, along with Kumar, come to mind, who went out and looked at channel warehouses in very different parts of North America. And talked to workers and mgt. in the channel who said there was a glut. The boxmakers can swear up and down they didn't stuff, but then where did those unsold boxes come from? <g>

Deja Vu all over again, as Yogi would say. And, another deja vu is that they are still lying about it with the next trading day in March.

I hope my term, Christmas Lies, does not seem so harsh to folks now that the Presarios have returned to Capistrano. <g>
