"The Internet has changed everything," said Jeremy Burton, vice president
of Server Marketing at Oracle Corp. "Applications are now accessible to
anyone with a standard Internet browser. It is now critical to have a single
directory capable of supporting all your users and their personal
information."

Hello Victor,

I called John Pilmer (jpilmer@novell.com) about that relationship and he pointed me to Novell's Press Room on their website and this article: novell.com

He also mentioned that Oracle had 2 different press releases regarding thier OID (Oracle Internet Directory). One was the joint deal with Novell and the other positioned it as a direct competitor to NDS.

I would view this as an interesting development since Novell is moving the NDS data store to an Oracle database (relieving us of BTrieve?). How this will shake out I'm not sure but I will make some inquiries at BrainShare.
