Seems what should have happened to Amati is happening to Aware.
Anybody from the old Amati days presently enjoying Awareness?

Anyone have any thoughts on RTHM? They just went public this week.

Since Amati was bought out, I've gotten in to QWST and done quite well.

I still have yet to have this question answered satisfactorily:

The progression from 2400 to 9600 to 14.4 to 28.8 to 33.6 to 56k went easily, with no additional cost of using the phone lines to connect to my ISP.

Why in the world should we have to pay an additional $50/month for ADSL technology, when it seems it would be a natural progression in the technology?

In theory, couldn't you run fiber to the home and bypass the telcos altogether? At least, for Internet access?
