That is exactly what AMD wants. They want INTC to get the hell out of the sub $1000 market entirely. If they do get out then AMD will start making a small profit and that is what INTC does not want to see happen. The idea of AMD making a profit is blasphemy to INTC.

We are all waiting.

Of course, if the early part of Q1 sales were depressed while waiting for Pentium III sales to kick in, this slowdown will crimp Q1 sales and earnings.

It will be Q2 earnings that reveal the impact of Pentium III sales.
